Holyoke, MA, April 28, 2010 – ruwac introduces a new line of truly “air-tight” blast gates operated manually or pneumatically that utilize a two part, self-sealing gasket assembly to completely isolate outside air, guaranteeing no air leakage across the valve or into the atmosphere.  They are designed to withstand 16 HG” of negative pressure.

Combustible Dust Housekeeping Guide to Aid in the Prevention of Future Dust Explosions

ComDust_Housekeeping_GuideHolyoke, MA, April 26, 2010 – combustible dust is a serious problem facing manufacturers today.  Over 100 dust related explosions occurred last year alone resulting in death and destruction of property.  Proper housekeeping is essential to decreasing the risks.  Ruwac’s new “Combustible Dust Housekeeping Guide” will assist manufacturers in training their employees and the creation of their own Documented Housekeeping Program, as mandated by OSHA.

OSHA requires that industries manufacturing products that produce a combustible dust, institute housekeeping procedures that include vacuuming dust 1/32 of an inch (approximately the thickness of a paperclip) and greater with a certified explosion proof vacuum – not the typical shop vacuum.

Revamped Website will Assist Manufacturers Facing combustible dust Issues

Holyoke, MA, April 1, 2010 –.  ruwac is pleased to announce the launch of their redesigned website featuring explosion proof vacuums and information on combustible dust, www.ExplosionProofVacuums.com.  This revamped website provides information for facility maintenance professionals on the dangers of combustible dust, how to mitigate the hazard and how ruwac can assist in the process.

OSHA requires that industries manufacturing products that produce a combustible dust institute housekeeping procedures that include vacuuming dust 1/32 of an inch (approximately the thickness of a paperclip) and greater with explosion proof vacuums – not the typical shop vacuum.  There are still questions as to whether or not particular industries need what type of housekeeping or vacuum solution.  Ruwac’s new site will assist manufacturers in this matter.
